Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JobSearchPrep. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

JobSearchPrep provides AI-assisted resume tailoring, interview preparation briefings, and job-search campaign tracking, primarily for senior technology leaders. The service is delivered through our website and may include human expert review of your resumes when you select an applicable subscription tier.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You're responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscription tiers and billing

We offer two subscription tiers: The Brief ($299/month) and The Campaign ($999/month). All subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings or via the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period.

First-week trial period: If you are dissatisfied with the service within 7 days of your initial subscription, contact support@jobsearchprep.ai and we will refund your first month in full.

5. Expert review service level

For Expert-Reviewed and Concierge subscribers, we target a 48-hour turnaround on each expert review request. This is a target, not a guarantee. Reviews submitted on weekends or US holidays may take longer. If a review takes more than 96 hours, contact support and we'll either expedite or credit your account.

6. Concierge tier

The Concierge tier includes weekly strategy calls and human-delivered services. We reserve the right to decline or terminate Concierge engagements where the candidate's situation is fundamentally unaddressable by our service (e.g., requesting illegal activities). In such cases we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content you don't have the right to use
• Misrepresent your identity, experience, or credentials
• Use the service to generate misleading or fraudulent applications
• Attempt to bypass our security, rate limits, or quota systems
• Resell, white-label, or sublicense the service without our written agreement
• Submit content that infringes intellectual property, defames others, or violates law

8. AI-generated content

Resume bullets and interview briefings are generated by AI models grounded in the master narrative you provide. While we constrain the AI to not invent experience, you are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy before submitting it externally. JobSearchPrep is a tool to assist your job search, not a substitute for your own judgment.

9. No employment guarantee

We do not guarantee that using JobSearchPrep will result in interviews, offers, or employment. Job search outcomes depend on many factors outside our control including market conditions, your specific qualifications, and how you use the tools we provide.

10. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the career information you submit. You grant us a limited license to process this information solely to provide the service to you. We retain all rights to the JobSearchPrep platform, software, and brand.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will always be accurate. Your use of the service is at your own discretion and risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobSearchPrep's total liability arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or other users. We will provide reasonable notice except in cases of severe violation. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
